Arcobaleno

12 “ x 12” Oil, Craypas, Linen and Plaster on Masonite

Created in 2024 and inspired by a rainbow over the Arno in Italy. The soft hues are representative of a late afternoon prism of light. The boundary between the central canvas and the background is particularly compelling, not only in color but also in texture. It implies a tension between two realms: the gentle, introspective central space and the vibrant, assertive periphery. This effect is noteworthy as it can mirror the human experience where calm and introspection are often surrounded by the vibrancy and chaos of the external world. It bears the mark of an artist who is sensitive to the emotional resonances of color and form.
