Journey

12 “ x 12” Oil, Craypas, Linen and Plaster on Masonite

Painted in 2024 and created as a gift to my analyst after 35 years of working together. The ripped edges and multitude of color are representative of the years of analysis and the journey we took together. Colors range from warm tones of yellow and gold to cooler shades of blue and purple, representative of the different emotional landscape we traversed. The areas of dark brown and black, which create a sense of depth and contrast signify the harder, less comfortable aspects of our work. The texture of the canvas is visible, with brushstrokes and layers of paint creating a rough, almost tactile surface. The overall impression is one of energy and movement, which captures the journey of discovery and growth we took together.
