La Seta
12 “ x 12” Oil, Craypas, Linen and Plaster on Masonite
Created in 2024, La Seta is inspired by the town of Magenta in Lombardy. The frayed, fringe-like edges give a sense of movement and energy, as if the fibers are reaching outward. This textural element adds depth and dimensionality to the piece. The deep magenta of the background bprovides a bold, cool complement to the silky yellows, greens, and golds. The overall composition is simple yet impactful, and a nice balance is drawn between the rough and smooth textures, as well as the warm and cool color palettes. The bold color choices and strong contrasts give it an energetic, eye-catching presence as an abstract expressionist piece.
